Italian Food and Recipes
From the book Dear You
Baci di Dama
Baci di dama literally means lady’s kisses. They are two hazelnut cookies with creamy dark chocolate in between.

Cannoli
Cannoli is a traditional Italian pastry made from dough rolled into tubes and fried.
They are then filled with a cream made from ricotta cheese and other fillings.

Cappuccino
Cappuccino is espresso with steamed and foamed milk. The coffee content is much stronger than you might find in a latte. Kate fell in love with the drink after her first sip!

Panini Bread
Panini is a flat bread commonly used for sandwiches.
Pizza Margherita
The pizza Kate mentions in the book is called Pizza Margherita. It’s named after a queen of Italy. The traditional pizza is topped with mozzarella cheese, sliced tomatoes and fresh basil.

Tiramisu
Tiramisu is a rich layered cake with flavors of coffee and chocolate.
One of my favorite blogs for Italian recipes is Christina’s Cucina. She is part Italian, part Scottish so she has recipes from both countries. As someone with Scottish heritage I doubly love her blog!
