My favorite thing about books is how they take you somewhere else—A place where the impossible suddenly becomes possible. A place where you can imagine yourself as a powerful person where you can do anything! This is one reason I love supernatural genres. Throw in a little romance with a happy ending and you have the perfect mix.
Where do I get my book ideas? Sometimes from dreams, sometimes from real life (which often truly is stranger than fiction), and other times they just suddenly pop into my head
When I'm not dreaming, I work as a genetic genealogist where I find birth parents using DNA and reconstruct families torn apart by slavery. In both cases I reconnect people to their family story. You can find me working as a family detective at missinglinkdna.com
The rest of my time is spent with my two sons here in the Pacific Northwest.
I write fiction under the pen name Emmaline Rose and nonfiction as Emmaline MacBeath
